What is Contoura?

Contoura is an entertainment app for iPhone that compares the visible shape of your face, hand and foot features with looks that are common in 20 broad world regions. The result is a tappable human map with a region list for every feature and an overall look-alike mix.

Is Contoura a DNA or ancestry test?

No. Contoura only looks at appearance in a photo and is for entertainment. It does not read DNA, it says nothing about where you or your family come from, and it never names an ethnicity, a nationality or a flag.

How accurate is it?

Contoura is a look-alike game, not a measurement of who you are. Clear shapes such as a nose bridge are read reliably from a good photo, while colour and tone depend on light. Every region is home to a wide variety of looks, so treat the result as a playful comparison.

Where do my photos go? Are they stored?

Only with your consent, each analysis photo is sent over an encrypted connection via kie.ai to Google Gemini, which describes the visible features. Photos are not stored on our servers, and your results are saved only on your iPhone. See the privacy policy.

Can I delete my data or withdraw consent?

Yes. Delete a single scan by swiping it, or delete all scans and studio results in Settings › Privacy & data. In the same place you can withdraw your consent; after that no photo leaves your iPhone until you agree again.

Which features does it analyze?

Eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, face shape, hair and skin tone from a selfie; hand shape and finger proportions from a hand photo; and the toe line from a foot photo, which gives a folklore foot type such as Egyptian, Greek or Roman.

Is Contoura free?

The download is free, there are no ads, and your first scan is free with a partial result. Contoura Premium (weekly or yearly) unlocks full results and unlimited scans; Contoura Pro also adds Face Studio. The yearly Premium plan may start with a free trial.

What is Face Studio?

Face Studio is an optional Pro feature for ages 18 and up. It makes small AI shape edits to your own face scan with sliders for eyes, brows, nose, lips and jaw, while skin tone, hair, expression and background stay the same. Every result is labelled as AI-edited.

Who can use Contoura?

People aged 16 and older, on photos of themselves only. Face Studio is for ages 18 and up. Photos that seem to show a minor or more than one person are not analyzed.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no account and no tracking. Scans are saved only on your iPhone.

Is Contoura available in the EU?

No. Contoura is not offered in the European Union or the European Economic Area. It is planned for other App Store countries.

Is Contoura on Android?

No. Contoura is an iPhone app (iOS 17 or later).

When will Contoura be on the App Store?
